Because you’re not drinking the right kind of water! Tap water is NOT hydrating. And neither is filtered water because it removes all the good minerals & trace elements.
Spring water from the earth is best. And if you don’t have access to spring water, you need to recreate the process and drink water that resembles nature as much as possible.
Spring water is nature is :
1. Filtered by the earth (and then pops up to the surface in springs)
2. Full of all the minerals and trace elements that we need, and
3. Constantly spirally and vortexing as it flows through springs and rivers.
The water that comes out of your tap doesn’t meet these standards and even worse, it is filled with toxins!

If you are able to collect water from a spring that’s the ideal situation. I collect my water from a local spring in Springwater County, Ontario. To find a spring near you, check this website: https://findaspring.com
Not everyone lives near a spring in which case you should definitely be filtering your tap water. I would recommend the Aqua Tru. You can purchase this from Water & Wellness and use the code “Krista” for a discount.
If you are concerned about bacteria collected from natural spring sources like the one linked above you can use a UV light wand to clean it or an Ozone Devine. I use the TheraO3 Bubbler from Therasage. (Not an affiliate link I just love this company & their products!).
I only recently started using the Ozone Device (because it has other benefits as well). I have been drinking spring water for several years without using a UV light or Ozone and I’m still alive 😉 personally I am more concerned about what’s in tap water than spring water I collect locally.
When you filter your water using reverse osmosis (Aqua Tru) or another filtration system like distillation, it removes the bad stuff AND the good stuff. The good stuff is the minerals and trace elements. So you will need to add these back in for proper hydration.
Many people miss this step. You filter your water & still feel dehydrated because your water lacks the proper minerals & trace elements.
The absolute best minerals and trace elements are the Original Quinton brand, which are collected from a plankton bloom in the ocean off the coast of Sprain & France.
Add one Quinton Hypertonic into 4-8L of water to remineralize if you filtered your water. You can purchase this from Water & Wellness and use the code “Krista” for a 10% off.
I still often add a Quinton Hypertonic into our spring water jug simply because the earths natural soil and water resources are depleted of minerals and trace elements.
I truly believe Quinton is far superior to adding Himalayan or Celtic salt. Although that is just fine if that’s what fits your budget 🙂 If you want to learn more about Quinton I’d recommend listening to this podcast with Luke Storey and Robert Slovak.
Water that is structured and organized is easily assimilated into our body and absorbed by our cells. Water that is stagnant loses it’s structure and doesn’t provide the same life force energy.
When water is first collected from a spring it is structured. And the water in fruits and vegetables is structured.
But when water is sitting in bottles or jugs it loses the structure and life force. And water coming straight from the tap is definitely not structured.
Using a water vortexer helps to add this life force and organization back into the water. Re-creating what it would be if you drank water immediately after collecting it from a spring, where it spirals and vortexes through the earth and then into a spring, down a river, etc.
